IIT Madras offers an online course in B.Sc. The course is based on Programming and Data Science. So, several students from all over the nation belonging to social-economic backgrounds and professions have taken part in this online course provided by IIT Madras.
Now, the institute is planning to train students from government schools in Tamil Nadu so that a large number of students participate in this online programme. On the other hand, faculty members of the institute have already connected with around 35 government schools and the training for the same would begin in July.
