IIT Madras is currently working on a project titled “Centre for Programmable Photonic Circuits and Systems (CPPICS). Hence, the institution is offering the meritorious students a chance to grab the available 10 project vacancies. Selected candidates will have an engagement for a minimum of one year. They are also assured handsome salaries going up to 1.5 lakhs.
Hence, there are 10 project vacancies available in the branch of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. The selection process will be based on performance and the salaries will vary accordingly. However, the salaries will range from Rs 21,500 up to 1,50,000. Also, the working period for some highly efficient candidates could be extended up to 5 years.
Project position and required qualifications to apply at IIT Madras:
Five project associates, three senior project officers, and one Chief Technology Officer (CTO) are to be appointed. Hence, all together they generate the 10 vacant CPPICS designations of IIT Madras. However, the qualifications for all three project designations vary differently.
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) requires a :
- PhD in engineering or science with three years of work experience or
- MTech, ME or MS with six years of work experience.
Hence, the candidate bagging the position of the CTO will get a salary of Rs 1.5 lakhs.
The three senior project officers need qualifications of:
- MTech, ME or MS in Engineering or Science disciplines. However, this should be coupled with a specialization in Microelectronics and VLSI Technology, Applied Physics or Photonics or
- Master’s Degree in Science with an aggregate of 60 percent or 6.5 CGPA with two years of experience.
They will be salaried 35,000 on monthly basis. However, Project Associates will require BTech, BE, AMIE, or Master’s degree in science with 60 percent aggregate and get 21,500 per month.
