Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and Madras are offering free online courses on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Interested candidates can avail of these courses on an online learning platform in India, the National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL). Other IIS and IITs in India are initiating other learning programs that are planned to commence in January 2021.

IIT Madras is proposing 2 online courses referring to Artificial Intelligence whereas IIT Kanpur is offering 2 data science programs on the online learning portal. The beginning of these courses is an initiative under the SWAYAM program begun by the Indian Government to give e-learning resources to learners free of cost.

Prof. Deepak Khemani, a member of the department of science and engineering conducted the 2 AI courses at IIT madras. Participants can avail of the course free of cost. Moreover, to appear for the examination and collect the e-certificate correlated with IIT Madras and NPTEL, students are instructed to pay a fee of RS. 1000.

There is no regulation on the qualification of students, these programs are proposed for UG and PG students in computer science. Also, these courses are helpful for BE, MS, ME, MSc, and Ph.D. candidates. Students are also expected to have an understanding of logic, formal languages, programming, etc.

IIT Madras offers online courses that cover topics like propositional logic, introduction, semantics, syntax, Constraint Satisfaction Problems (CSPs), etc in the program. These twelve-week courses shall be directed from January 18 to April 9, 2021. Students can apply for this course on the conducting body official website.

IIT ROORKEE TO OFFER ONLINE CERTIFICATE COURSES ON COURSERA

IIT Kanpur is heading to introduce 2 online courses pertained to data science on the NPTEL portal. The 2 courses are relating to the necessities of Data Science with the R software. The first course will be on statistical inference and probability. Whereas, the second course will be on linear aggression analysis and sampling theory.
