An AI-based application, Melvano has been developed by Taran Singh, an alumnus Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras) and has launched an online All India Test Series (AITS) for the JEE applicants on 15th February. Aspirants preparing to appear for JEE main and advanced entrance exams can easily give the exams for free till May.
National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently released the new structure for JEE Main 2021 exam for all the aspirants. Chemistry, Maths, and Physics will comprise only 30 questions in every section.
The three subjects (Maths, Physics, and Chemistry) are distributed into two sections. Section A of the test will have 20 MCQs while section B will have over 10 numerical value-based questions where students will be required to attempt any five questions.
As per the marking scheme for Section A in JEE exam, students will be rewarded +4 marks for every correct answer and -1 for every incorrect answer will be deducted. Whereas section B of the test will comprise +4 for every correct answer with no negative marking.
Melvano application offers crash courses, foundation courses, personal mentoring, and test series. Students can enhance their scores with the help of crash courses and foundation courses. The Melvano application uses artificial intelligence to discover weak sections of students and formulates customized coursework for them, which lessens preparation time for candidates. The substantial advantage of the application is that it offers a personal IIT mentor to every student who counsels them throughout the course, rigorously train them to crack JEE, and further keeps a track of their daily performance.
Melvano was formulated under Nirmaan, the pre-incubation cell of IIT Madras, and has received over Rs. 1 crore till date. Furthermore, they are in conversation to raise $1 Million from VCs to widen their reach into other exam segments.
