On Thursday, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kharagpur) shut down the offices and announced that they will remain shut till 23 May 2021, This decision has been taken due to the rise in COVID-19 Cases.

Only essential services will be available and no other work will be done from the campus. Registrar, IIT Kharagpur, Taman Nath conveyed the information.
He also informed that the non-essential offices on the campus will remain shut from Friday till 23 May 2021. All the staff will work from home and it will be carried out in the same manner as online classes.

CBSE BOARD EXAMS CLASS 10 RESULTS, ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

For the fulfillment of essential services, the limited staff engaged in essential services will continue to work from the campus and they will follow all the COVID protocols.
All the students and research scholars have been advised to go back to their homes. Due to limited space for isolation facilities and treatment, the registrar has asked the research scholars to leave for home.
For a stipulated period, shops selling essential commodities on the campus will be allowed to open as the state government’s directive.
