On Thursday, IIT Kanpur launched an online certificate course in blockchain technology. Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur launched this program in collaboration with Simplilearn, which is an online learning platform.
Thus, professional certificate course spreads across four months. People who are engineers, technical leads, software developers, analysts can pursue this course. It covers the skills in blockchain technology which is most in demand.
The aspects covered in this online course offered by IIT Kanpur, includes bitcoin, blockchain technology, and platforms that operate on the hyper ledger, application building on Ethereum, and various other aspects. The online Programme will be divided into over 50 hours of self-paced learning and 70 hours of applied learning.

The professor of the Department of Computer Science and engineering of IIT Kanpur, Sandeep Shukla said that cryptocurrency is going ahead of blockchain technology. So, there is an increase in the jobs that involve the application of blockchain technology.
He further added that there is a need to train the upcoming generation of blockchain developers. The demand for this technology is constantly increasing in the job sphere. Thus, there is a need to promote blockchain education in India.
