There has been an extension in the deadline for admission application submission for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM 2021). The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru has extended the submission to 31 May 2021.
The deadline to submit the application form for admission was 27 May 2021 earlier. Now, Candidates can register for admission via JAM 2021 on the official website @ jam.iisc.ac.in or joaps.iisc.ac.in.
Along with extending the deadline, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), has also given relaxation on the eligibility criteria for the candidates. All those candidates who score a ‘pass’ status in the qualifying exam will now be eligible to apply for IIT JAM 2021. Candidates qualifying for the JAM 2021 will be eligible to apply for admission to:
- MSc (Two Year),
- Joint MSc-PhD,
- MSc-PhD dual degree, and
- other post-bachelor’s degree programs at the IITs and to the Integrated Ph.D. programs at IISc.
The official statement on the JOAPS portal specifies the change in the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria relaxation comes in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now the candidates need to have only a ‘PASS’ in the qualifying degree exam. This applies to all categories.
