IIT Guwahati will launch the School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for students. This school will offer various undergraduate and postgraduate level courses. The first batch of B Tech students for this school will get admission through JEE score in the academic year 2021-22. Moreover, today, IIT-Guwahati signed an MoU with the Mehta Family Foundation (MFF), USA.
Prof TG Sitharam, Director, IIT Guwahati, and Rahul Mehta, chief executive officer, Mehta Family Foundation, USA sign the MoU virtually. Rahul Mehta said the commotion of data across all fields of knowledge resumes unabated. Like computer science transformed the world, data science and artificial intelligence are presented to do the same. These fields will construct the methods used in research and education across the range of human knowledge.
Global interdisciplinary affiliations as anticipated in this new school will boost our knowledge of society and nature. Bringing together global skills such as Professor Rajesh Gupta (both Univ. of California, San Diego), Professor Shankar Subramaniam, and Professor Ananth Grama (Purdue Univ.) can stimulate the growth in these fields.

IIT BHU AND IIT GUWAHATI COLLABORATED FOR STUDY PROGRAM
MFF will contribute to the development of the school’s programs and infrastructure at the IIT Guwahati campus. The school will provide programs for visiting students and faculty between the school and US organizations. The school will host meetings and organize chairs enticing world-class talent.
The school will also have permission to distinguished professors from top US institutes. It will provide time and skill for academic and research activities in this new school.
IIT MADRAS -KNOW ABOUT FELLOWSHIP IN AI LAUNCHED BY IIT-MADRAS
Prof R Bhattacharjee, head, Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, IIT Guwahati mentioned that the curriculum has been formulated to provide a powerful theoretical foundation. It will also emphasize various interdisciplinary application areas. One of the goals of the school is also to adopt targeted multi-year interdisciplinary research projects. And to solve the difficulties which help society at large, a deep-rooted vision of IIT Guwahati.
