IIT GATE 2022 Online Registration Application: As per the revised schedule released by IIT, the registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2022) has started on Thursday, September 02, 2021. This year GATE exam is being conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur.
After the commencement of the application process, interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply for IIT GATE 2022 exam by visiting the official website of IIT, Kharagpur GATE exam at gate.iitkgp.ac.in on or before September 24, 2021.
Earlier, the application process of IIT GATE 2022 was scheduled to begin on August 30, but it was postponed at the last minute.
The exam papers under GATE 2022 exam will be purely objective type, with some Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). While the remaining questions will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and/or Numerical Answer Type Questions i.e. Numerical Answer Type (NAT).
GATE 2022 applicants should know that one or two subjects are permitted to appear for the exam. Students can select a combination of two papers from the list of paper combinations.

However, if a student wants to appear for one or two papers then he has to fill only one application form. If a candidate fill more than one registration form, only one form will be accepted. Rest will be rejected and the enrollment fee will not be refunded.
At the same time, the total number of questions has also been increased this time. Earlier, the total number of questions in GATE was 27, but after the introduction of the above two new subject papers, now this number has increased to 29.
Two new subjects were also added to the exam
According to the notification of GATE-2022 issued by IIT Kharagpur (IIT kgp), two new papers GE (Geomatics Engineering) and NM (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering) have also been introduced for the examination for admission to technical courses.

IIT Kharagpur has also announced the dates for the GATE 2022 on its official website. This exam will be conducted in February next year on 05, 06, 1, and 13 February.
