The researchers of IIT Delhi made a device to help healthcare professionals. The device will detect the diagnosis of dengue. It will reduce the workload of doctors and other professionals who are busy treating other patients in this pandemic situation.
This device will detect the test within one hour of its working. On the other hand, the other process takes more than 24 hours. IIT Delhi collaborated with ICMR National Institute of Malaria Research, NMIR to test the device on some samples.

BENEFITS OF DENGUE DETECTION DEVICE OF IIT DELHI
The institution collected several samples from people and tested the handheld device. IIT Delhi researchers said that if they detect the spread of dengue first, it will prevent deterioration of patient’s health. On the other hand, some tools like nuclei acid detection using RTPCR consume much time and require costly equipments and reagents.
RESEARCH GROUP AT IIT DELHI
However, some diseases require a quick and proper care diagnosis. So, the GLancing Angle Deposition, GLAD research group of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi developed a handheld Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy, SERS-based platform. Moreover, the principal investigator of this project made this platform to diagnose the dengue virus.
RAPID RELIEF TO PATIENTS THROUGH DETECTION DEVICE
So, it will take three sets of blood samples namely dengue positive, negative, and healthy. It will provide a sensitive, and rapid relief from dengue at the early stage.
