Often students studying in Hindi speaking areas or Hindi medium have to face problems due to engineering studies in English, but now it will be a thing of the past. IIT-BHU is going to be the first engineering college in the country which is going to offer BTech studies in Hindi.
Professor Pramod Kumar Jain, Director of the Institute and Chairman of Official Language Committee give this information. The inauguration of Hindi fortnight was organized at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University).
In the program, Prof. Jain said that in the new education policy, the medium of instruction is to be made mother tongue. For which IIT (BHU) is preparing to start first-year education through the Hindi medium. If engineering is to be promoted, then the language of the concerned region.
He congratulated the colleagues in the offices for working in Hindi. He also appealed to do more work in Hindi in the classrooms, departments, and offices.

Apart from this, Acharya Anil Kumar Tripathi, Vice President of the Official Language Implementation Committee of the Institute also highlighted the importance of the Hindi language. In the year 2020-21, informed about the works and achievements done in Hindi in the institute.
Moreover, last year itself, the Ministry of Education had considered the study of IIT in the Hindi language. And IIT-BHU was also asked to prepare for it. However, due to the CORONA period, this new plan was stopped in the middle. However, now the institute has given its consent, due to which IIT-BHU will soon launch a new BTech course in Hindi.
