On Thursday, July 30, 2020, IIM Calcutta said that it will initiate its two-year MBA program 2020-2022, from August 10. Around 480 students from the nation over will join the virtual classes. On the web, classes for second-year MBA students will initiate from August 3.

Interviews were conducted online by the IIM Calcutta due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. IIM-C said that as it was not doable to direct composed capacity test with decency through the online confirmation process, the establishment chose not to consider the weightage given for WAT for the last selection of MBA batch 2020-22.

Operations Management Group, Prof Peeyush Mehta, said that the establishment is making innovation answers for MBA students to “impersonate” the classroom experience to the degree conceivable in online mode.

Mehta further added that IIM Calcutta will also guide the students who are facing internet issues, including the opportunity to interact with the instructors after the class, providing recordings of a missed class, and additional tutorials.
