Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will award degrees, diplomas, and certificates to 2,35,000 candidates from abroad. The convocation will take place on 15 April at Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Center in the Maidan Garhi campus of IGNOU from 11 am.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will be the chief guest at the program. He will not only award degrees online to students, but will also address them.
According to IGNOU, all the students have not been invited to the convocation due to the situation arising out of Covid-19. It will not only be broadcast online on IGNOU’s Facebook page, but it will also be telecast live on the Gyan Darshan channel, Swayam Prabha channel so that students from abroad and those who are not able to appear here can watch the live telecast.
Every year lakhs of students enroll in IGNOU. It is the largest distance learning center in the country. Every state has its education centers in large numbers. Every year prisoners also enroll in University to complete their studies.

IGNOU TO HOLD 34th CONVOCATION CEREMONY ON APRIL 15
Indira Gandhi National Open University will provide education to 20 thousand students of Guyana through online and other mediums. A decision in this regard was taken at the recent meeting of the IGNOU Board. Under this, the delegation of Guyana has also met with University. It is said to conduct the course about the needs.
IGNOU has entered into several contracts in recent years, with people approaching University for better education. In addition to conducting certificate courses for Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti teachers, IGNOU has conducted many courses keeping in mind the market demand. A senior official of the University says that in addition to better education in the coming years, they are also stressing increasing enrollment numbers of students.

IGNOU has done a lot of work in how to provide better education to the students in the Corona era. For this, not only virtual labs were set up, but about a dozen courses that were conducted offline were also conducted online.
