The 34th convocation ceremony of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will be held on 15th April. The ceremony will begin at 11 am at the Babasaheb Ambedkar Convention Center at IGNOU. The Chief Guest for the ceremony will be Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. The convocation ceremony will be broadcasted live on IGNOU’s Gyan Darshan channel, Swayamprabha channel, and Facebook.

Students who qualify for the degree, Ph.D., postgraduate, graduate, PG diploma, or diploma at the ceremony, can register online by depositing a fee of Rs. 600 while students eligible for a PG certificate can register by depositing Rs. 200. IGNOU to start a course for teachers of Navodaya Vidyalaya

IGNOU has signed an MoU with Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) to prepare a certificate program to train the teachers of Navodaya Vidyalaya. The objective of starting this six-month certificate course by IGNOU and NVS is to develop the professional development of 10,000 teachers working in Navodaya schools across the country.

The course will soon be started by the School of Education of IGNOU. During the signing of the letter of cooperation, IGNOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nageswara Rao said that through this course, NVS will be successful in imparting high-quality technology-based training to its teachers. The benefit of this training will be given to the students studying in Navodaya Vidyalayas all over the country.
