Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has begun a certificate course in Sanskrit. From the July session, the University has launched a Certificate Course in Communicative Sanskrit (SSB) in Open and Distance Mode.
Students who want to take admission in this course can apply with the help of the admission portal ignou.samarth.edu.in. The minimum period of this certificate course has been fixed at six months and the maximum duration is one year.
15TH JULY LAST DATE FOR THE APPLICATION
The purpose of starting this course is to enhance the language skills of the students and enable them to converse in Sanskrit. The deadline to fill the online application form for this course is till 15th July.
Applying aspirants should have at least passed the 12th or equivalent examination. Aspirants will have to pay a fee of Rs 1500 for the course. At the same time, a registration fee of Rs 200 will also have to be fulfilled.

Not just this, IGNOU has launched many new courses. It includes a Master’s program in Astrology, which seeks at giving practical information to the students about different branches of astrology.
Other than this, IGNOU’s School of Humanities has also begun a Masters’s program in Urdu under Distance Learning. This course will give comprehensive education of Urdu literature and language.
