SC and ST students have a better chance of further reading. For the first time, SC, ST students have been given a golden opportunity by IGNOU, Indira Gandhi National Open University. Similarly, SC and ST students who are studying in a regular mode in another university, can now regularly conduct a 6-month certificate course from IGNOU.
They will not have to pay any fee. They can simultaneously enroll in a regular certificate course. The UGC has permitted this. Courses can be done from IGNOU even after studying in another university.
This is the best chance to get two degrees in one semester. Many such courses have been started to make these students self-reliant. They can enroll in many courses including Certificate in French Language, Certificate in Teaching of English, Certificate in Health Care Bust Management, Certificate in Consumer Protection, Certificate in Anti Hume Trafficking, Certificate in HIV and Family Education.

Apart from this, Regional Director Abhilash Nayak informed that 84 courses are being run in which no fee will be charged from SC, ST students. Out of these, 31 courses are being conducted in Patna. This is being done to bring these students into the mainstream.
