The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has initiated a PG diploma in Corporate Social Responsibility (PGDCSR) through distance and open mode. Moreover, students with a minimum Bachelor’s degree can apply for the diploma program. Students can apply online from the official website is ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The application process will be closed on 28 February 2021.
The course will concentrate on imparting understanding and knowledge about CSR, develop professional knowledge in the formulation, expand capacities of learners on various theoretical and practical aspects, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of CSR projects and programs.
The program co-ordinators Prof PVK Sasidhar and Nisha Varghese said that PGDCSR is a very applicable program in ODL mode both in phrases of content and timing. It gives a unique opportunity for achieving and upgrading the knowledge of the CSR professionals. The PGDCSR program has been formulated in such a way to strengthen the holistic knowledge of CSR by covering several aspects like CSR fundamentals, implementation of its process, and handling of projects and programs. Candidates by opting for project work can also get the first-hand experience of CSR projects.
The one-year course will cover subjects of fundamentals of CSR, CSR implementation, CSR process, CSR projects and programs, development: perspectives and issues, project work in CSR. The graduates, professionals are eligible for the program.
