The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) launched a certificate course in environmental, occupational hazards which will be accessible through the SWAYAM platform. The twelve-week course will commence on February 15. Moreover, this course is a certificate-level course in the bioengineering category and biological science. Candidates will learn about natural disasters and hazards, and methods to deal with them.

The course also includes weather hazards, geological -related hazards, or coastal hazards. Moreover, the details of environmental threats covering factors of physical, biological, and chemical hazards are also covered in this course. flammable, Explosives, radiation, cold, and heat stern vibration, noise hurdles have discussed in physical hazards. IGNOU said in an official statement that the course also talks about Occupational Hazards. It deals with dangers posed by particular occupations like construction, and mining, allied sectors, and agriculture, health centers, and hospital, corporate sectors. Eventually, the administration of the hazards and the alleviation of the same has been clarified.

EDUCATION MINISTRY TO INTRODUCE ENGINEERING COURSES IN MOTHER TONGUE

Currently, the University offers 105 courses through the portal known as the SWAYAM portal. Moreover, IGNOU has also begun series of online programs.

BTECH AND DIPLOMA IN ENGINEERING AWARDED BY IGNOU TILL 2011-12 SESSION VALID

Recently, the IGNOU initiated a new certificate course in Mobile Application Development (CMAD) through distance and open mode. The program is for 6 months’ duration and candidates who have passed class 12 are eligible for the course.
