Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has begun a new Post Graduate Diploma Program in Development Communication (PGDDC) from July 2021 session.
The new educational program developed by the School of Journalism and New Media Studies was initiated today by Professor Nageshwar Rao, Vice-Chancellor, IGNOU. PGDDC pursues to develop a sound understanding of the core topics of the development process which in turn will enable the students to find employment opportunities in different local, national, and international agencies.
The period of the new academic program is one year, students passing the graduate program will be able to apply for the postgraduate diploma program in development.

Students can apply for PGDDC with the help of the university’s admission portal that is ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
During the inauguration of Post Graduate Diploma courses, Professor JS Yadav, Former Director IIMC, eminent expert in Development Communications and Research spoke about the applicability of such courses in a developing country like India.
He said that these courses are very unique and resourceful and will offer immense job opportunities to all the students who join them.
