A new Bachelor of Arts (Performing Arts) Hindustani Music (Honors) has been launched by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)‘s School of Performing and Visual Arts through open distance learning mode.
Students who are interested and eligible can apply for the program through the official website ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The last date to apply for the course is till July 15.
The program is developed for three years and furnishes learners with in-depth knowledge in the discipline of Hindustani Classical Music while enabling for exposure to subjects beyond the discipline as well
The program concentrates on skill and competence advancement and aims at instilling professional and academic knowledge in learners, which will lead to comprehensive development. The program is only proposed by the Regional Centre Delhi 1.

To be eligible for the course, aspirants must have a minimum of 10+2 years of education or its equivalent. The fee for each year of the program is Rs 9,200 and aspirants must pay an extra Rs. 200 at the time of registration. The varsity newly launched new programs and courses such as the MA Drawing and Painting (MAPD) and a Certificate course in Sanskrit. The MADP is developed for a minimum period of 2 years and a maximum period of 4 years. The Certificate course in Sanskrit will be performed for 6 months.
