Delhi University Admissions 2019- Delhi University on Tuesday informed that if any college is found offering fake admissions, the college will be found guilty and held responsible for the same. In order to curb the fake admissions practice, Delhi University has directed colleges to use Eligibility Check Tool to determine whether a candidate meets the eligibility criteria of their respective course. In the past, there have been instances where colleges have been found to admit students with fake documents hence leading to the cancellation of admissions. As per the latest update, colleges will be required to put the mark sheets and documents for admission through a forensic test. The decision to seek the help of the Eligibility Check Tool was taken after an admission committee meeting on was held on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by the admission committee and admission nodal officers.
Though the process may be a relief for both colleges and students involved, however, as per some college principals the forensic check may be an expensive approach. He also added that colleges do not receive any admission assistance from Delhi University. Therefore, in case the forensic check tool is applied, it will be at the expense of students’ funds.

Whereas, Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Director of the Computer Center, informed how the Eligibility Check Tool could be used at the time of admissions. He also added that the tool is meant for suggestions and convenience.
