ICAI CA EXAMS POSTPONED TO JULY 29th: Check Complete Schedule

The Coronavirus outbreak led to a lockdown which results in delays in every work. CA examinations which were initially held in May are now rescheduled to June-July. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) had postponed the exams to 29th July.

As the government is extending the lockdown for the third time students are worried about their CA exams. The ICAI did not answer back to the student’s request after the second phase. According to the report, the Chartered Accountant exams initially schedule from 2 May to 18 May and then rescheduled from 19 June to 4 July and again it has been rescheduled for 29th July.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants ( ICAI) released the notice,” In continuation to the Important Announcement dated 27th March 2020 it is hereby notified for general information that in view of the ongoing spurt of the COVID-19 pandemic and in the concern of the wellbeing of students, the Chartered Accountant Examinations scheduled from 19th June 2020 to 4th July 2020* stand rescheduled and the said examinations shall now be held from 29th July 2020 to 16th August 2020”.

Exams and admissions of all universities are yet pending, India is in 3rd phase of lockdown from May 4. There is a lot of academic loss this year due to the spread of the pandemic. All the Universities are planning a new academic calendar this year which is suitable for the students.

The Vice-Chancellor of the government university of Delhi, CM Arvind Kejriwal in a video conferencing discussed and emphasized using technology to the cover-up all the academic loss.

However, the University Grant Commission(UGC) has recommended a new academic calendar. Universities can simplify or modify the calendar as per the need. According to the report, the college sessions will begin in August for the old students, and for new ones the session will begin in September. The University will also begin its admission process in August.
