According to DU Passing Criteria, you have to score more than 40% in Theory + Practical in a semester.

On 29 June, B.Com (Prog.) Final Year Students wait come to an end. But, the result shocked everyone, as more than 300 DU final year students have failed in B.Com (Prog.) Exam and other courses as well.

Arif Ali from Sri Aurobindo College (Evening) told DU Updates that “How Du Administration can done such a big mistake, our future depends upon it”. He also added that “A student who secures 70%, still get failed, because of Practical of Computer Application in Business”.

Around 200 students from different colleges signed a petition, so that University take a look in this matter. All of them being final year, are under panic as this can hamper their future study plans.

“There is a lack of complete information regarding the passing criteria, even the college authorities don’t have much information” said by Mohit Chawaria from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. He also said that “ As it is a practical subject, we have no option even for re evaluation. Our one year is on stake”.

Students who approached respective authorities were asked to apply for re – evaluation. But re – evaluation basically involves the re – calculation of awarded marks. There must be some discrepancy about the result, “Either new rule for passing criteria will be implemented or surely there is any mistake in mark sheet”.

Students who are facing this issue should unite and raise the problem with DU Authority. This is surely some discrepancy caused in result by University.
