DU Offline Exams: Delhi University has conducted exams in physical mode and observed striking attendance of 98.3%. Offline examinations are held after the gap of more than two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the university has faced huge protests by student outfits earlier.
The examinations for second and third-year UG students began on 11 April 2022, Wednesday. Further DS Rawat, University Dean said, in total, 67,948 students took exams. Out of which, 44,311 students appeared in the morning. Whereas, the remaining students in the evening session.

DU Offline Exams 2022: Attendance Percentage Better In Evening Session
The attendance is better in the evening session at 99.8 percent. As 23,367 students attended the exams. Only 47 students did not appear in the examination. Contradictory, in the morning session, over 1000 registered students did not attend the paper.

Moreover, Rawat said that the attendance rate is much better than in previous years. And, impressively this year demonstrations and protests were held against holding offline exams. But, this doesn’t stop students from giving exams in physical mode. He said, “Students who couldn’t take an exam due to Covid suffering have the opportunity to give exams later, i.e., in August. Their examination will conduct in August 2022.”
He added, “They have to submit medical certificates in order to sit in exams. Besides, this year students get an additional 30 minutes to relieve some extent of stress. Also, additional 30 minutes are provided to both the UG and PG programs.”
Earlier, many students filed a petition in Delhi HC demanding open book examinations after seeing strikes in Covid cases. However, the court clearly refused to intervene in the University’s decision to continue the examination in offline mode.
