HOW ABOUT A VIRTUAL TOUR OF COLLEGE CAMPUS FOR DU ASPIRANTS?

Every year, DU aspirants are eager to walk into the campus and embrace its beauty during admission time. Due to COVID 19 pandemic, this year, students would not be able to move to the campus and have a tour of the college they are going to get admission.

So, the college authorities of Delhi University organized a virtual tour for parents and students so that the enthusiasm to move around the college is maintained.

DU ASPIRANTS CANNOT GO INTO THE CAMPUS NOW

A DU aspirant from Delhi Anandita Sahai said that she won’t mind a virtual tour to watch the greenery and infrastructure of the campus. She saw the canteen, the classes, the auditorium and the big lawn of IP college. She has already seen all the pictures on the official website of the college. Now, she is waiting to walk into the campus. So, according to her, the idea of a virtual tour is fantastic.

DU ASPIRANTS WANT TO GET A VIRTUAL TOUR OF HOSTEL

Students from all over India come and study at Delhi University. They apply for hostels and PG here. Students who were about to apply are excited to get a virtual tour of hostels. A DU aspirant from Haryana said that almost all the hostels are closed. So, she wishes to have a virtual tour of the facilities there because she will be applying for accommodation in Delhi University hostels. She will get accommodation once the situation gets normal and the varsity allows DU aspirants to access to hostels. If the situation would be normal, she had walked into the hostels and talk to teachers and wardens. But now, technology would aid her problems and everyone else to wish to get accommodation.

DU ASPIRANTS IN ATHLETICS WANT TO LOOK AT THE SPORTS FACILITIES

Many athletes take admission in Delhi University. They also want to have a virtual tour of the sports facilities of DU colleges. Vijay Gupta is a DU aspirant and he is from Haryana. He said that the authority must organize a virtual tour of sports facilities, pool, and gym for all sports quota students. This will help students to choose which college is suitable for them and it is quite interesting for them to know about the facilities that they will be able to access. Moreover, Delhi University can organize a video session with the sports coaches of respective colleges.

Extracurricular activities play an important role in the campus life of DU aspirants. Many DU aspirants want to talk to the society president, seniors, and teachers to get a full scoop of interesting and boring things about ECA. Kaniska Kapoor is a DU aspirant from Delhi. She said that a virtual tour is not asking much of college authorities. It is a situation where they cannot set their foot inside the campus because all colleges are temporarily shut down.
