EDUCATION INSTITUTES

From February 15, all universities and colleges will reopen in Uttar Pradesh. Since March 2020, colleges, universities, and all the higher education institutes have been shut owing to the widespread pandemic. Shutting the educational institutions was one of the measures announced by the government to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Like every other higher education institute in India, the Universities and colleges in UP will also follow all the Covid-19 protocols which includes:

  • wearing masks,
  • maintaining social distancing norms mandatorily,
  • sanitization

All the education institutes in UP which will be re-opening will need to sanitize the campus and classrooms properly before students start rolling in. Also notably, the online classes will continue and the attendance in the universities and colleges will not be made mandatory.

University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued special guidelines for all the Colleges and universities across the country which have started to open up and all such other educational institutions.

UGC has also asked the colleges to ensure mental wellness and stress-free campuses by mandating regular visits of a counselor. Restrict the outside experts on campuses, study tours, field works, etc has also been suggested to the Universities and colleges.
