On Thursday the Delhi High Court postponed the hearing on two pleas challenging Delhi University’s online open-book examinations planned to take place On August 27.

A division bench of Justice Hima Kohli and Justice Subramonium Prasad conceded the meeting subsequent to seeing that one of the supplications in petitions has direct connections with the University Grants Commission (UGC) rules and the issue identified with testing UGC rules is pending before the Supreme Court.

The High Court was hearing two petitions, one documented by Mandeep Singh and the second one by Akshay Lakra through supporter H S Hora.

Both of the applicants have looked for bearings to the respondent to review the understudies of the entire years as a composite of 50 percent marks based on the internal assessment of the understudies and the staying 50 percent marks based on marks in the past semester.

By September 30, universities have to conduct the last year’s examination as per the UGC Guidelines in online, offline, or blended mode, which is a mixture of the online and offline examination.

Mandeep Singh has also strived a way to the respondent to provide an alternative to those students who wants to enhance the marks or he/she may appear in specific exams for such subjects during the following semester

The candidate has additionally tried to suppress the notices dated July 12, July 8, and May 14 and the resulting conditional date plan given by the respondent in this way thus announcing that the ‘Powerful Committee’ as a vacant advisory group having no authority under law.

The solicitors have tried to drop the Remote Open Book Exams as declared by the respondent without counsel with the Academic Council and Executive Council and to pull back all notices in association therewith.
