DU Exams: GUIDELINES TO APPEAR IN OBE FOR SOL AND NCWEB STUDENTS

The Open Book Examination (OBE) which was to be conducted by the Delhi University for the students of the final year is scheduled to commence from 1st July 2020. The University has issued the procedure to be followed by the students for downloading question papers and the uploading of the scanned answer sheets.

This Open Book Examination (OBE) will be conducted for the students of final year and ex-students of I/II year of School of Open Learning and Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board. The date sheet is uploaded on the official website of the University.

The students of SOL and NCWEB, as well as the regular students, will download the question papers from the designated portal. The portal will be on the official website of the University, that is, www.du.ac.in.

If in case a person is unable to download the question papers from the website, alternative procedures will be provided to the students to download the question papers.

For the students of SOL, the question papers will be made available to them by SOL’s dashboard five minutes prior to the commencement of the examinations.

In cases where question papers cannot be downloaded, candidates of NCWEB can receive question papers on registered e-mail addresses or WhatsApp.

If any person, is not able to upload the scanned images of their answer sheets on the portal after the completion of the examination, they can mail it on the designated mail id of SOL and NCWEB.

But this option can only be exercised in cases of emergency.

The total duration for the exams of those students who are under the PWD category will be 5 hours. This will include two hours for attempting the examination as per the prescribed time for OBE.

DU OPEN BOOK EXAMS: PROFESSORS ASSERTS, MOCK TESTS WOULD NOT ADDRESS STUDENTS’ DIFFICULTIES

An extra hour will be given for the purpose of downloading the question paper and uploading the scanned images of the answer sheets. An extra time of 20 minutes i.e., 1/3rd of the duration of the OBE (according to the rules and eligibility prescribed by the University). A further one hour will be given as a special provision.

If any grievance arises, regarding the downloading of question paper, uploading of the scanned images of the answer sheets, the candidate is free to contact SOL and NCWEB. This can be done at the e-mail addresses and contact numbers available at the SOL and NCWEB website.
