India is running on a devastating stage of the COVID-19 pandemic. Owing to the worsening situation in the country, Google has decided to provide help to India. It has announced that it will grant 135 crore rupees to India to deal with medical emergencies. The medical supply ranges from ICU beds, testing equipments to oxygen cylinders.

Google.org and Google’s philanthropic arm altogether is helping the country with the medical grant of Rs.20 crore.

Sanjay Gupta is the country head and VP of India. He said that the first grant will help the country to provide financial help to families who are suffering from this pandemic. The second grant would be delivered to UNICEF to arrange medical supplies like testing kits and oxygen.

It will also support the communities and help in spreading critical information.

It will help the local health authorities and nonprofit organizations for more language coverage options.

Google also showcases the COVID feature on Search and it is available in India. The languages use are English and the other eight Indian languages. Google will always help in providing authoritative information and improve localization.

INFORMATION ABOUT VACCINATION SITES

The company said that the search box includes several vaccination sites. Now, the company is planning to add ten thousand more. All these organizations and ministries will help to support initiatives for vaccination awareness.
