On Monday, Chief minister Pramod Sawant introduced the online channel Dishtavo. This channel contains more than 20,000 recorded lectures for candidates of higher education. Sawant stated that this makes Goa the first state in the nation to make such a foundation for higher education.
Moreover, a Goa University study has discovered that 74 percent of its master’s students experience week internet connection, and discovered this an obstruction in getting to online teaching material.
Sawant on Monday stated that the directorate of higher education (DHE) has plans to make e-Mitras assist students with beating the issue of poor internet access. Sawant mentioned that under the program, universities would be made to match a student who has a helpless organization with other candidates who has great organization. The candidate with good internet access will guarantee that the one combined with the person is kept refreshed and stays up with online classroom teaching.
The CM said Dishtavo as per students’ convenience will help them access the teaching videos 24×7.
Sawant said Dishtavo is a permanent foundation created for learners and no other state has taken such steps. Goa is the first state to give online training to the teachers.
Sawant stated that several had reached the DHE to set up the channel at an expense of crores of rupees, yet the directorate has figured out how to finish the undertaking with existing employees and staff of colleges itself, at an expense of around 1000 of rupees.
Approximately 3,500 teaching recordings have been recorded and 1,000 recordings have just been uploaded on the Dishtavo. Whereas, another 2,500 recordings are currently being altered. When this channel finishes a year, 20,000 recordings would be made accessible to understudies.
Prasad Lolayekar, Director of higher education mentioned that this channel is also facilitated offline learning. Candidates can easily download the video if they have a poor connection and watch the downloaded video later on.
