On Wednesday, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University announced that GGSIPU online counselling has been started. Counselling began for two IP University programs: BTech and BArch. Moreover, the last date to apply for online counselling is 5 August 2022.
Further, as per the university statement, candidates have to pay Rs 1000 as an online counselling fee. Also, applicants who could pay the application fee before i.e., Rs 1200 can pay it now. Both the online counselling fee and application fee can be submitted together. Most importantly, students can do so till 5 August only.
Online counselling is mandatory for all the selected candidates for GGSIPU admission in 2022. Therefore, it is instructed that students shouldn’t jump any steps while applying for the counselling process.
GGSIPU to set up three new schools
Earlier, the varsity announced that the university plans to establish three new schools. This decision was put up during the meeting of the 77th Board of Management (BoM).

The names of the new schools are-
- School of Liberal Arts,
- School of Fire and Industrial Safety,
- And, School of Filmmaking
Moreover, the decision has been taken after observing the demand for trained professionals. Besides, IP university already has 14 schools, out of which 12 schools are situated on the Dwarka campus. Whereas other two East Delhi campuses (Surajmal Vihar).
During the same meeting, the varsity also talked about boosting its Centre of Disaster Management Studies (CDMS). And, planned to convert it into a Centre of Excellence in Disaster Management.
