GBN ADMIN CALLS FOR ‘STATUS QUO’ ON UP GOVT’S NOTIF ON THE ENTRY OF VEHICLES IN NCR
Gautam Budha Nagar authority has asked for ‘status quo’ on the unrestricted movement of automobiles from Delhi, hours after Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh govt on Monday authorized the admission of vehicles from Delhi to Noida/Ghaziabad NCR areas, except for the people who are appearing Delhi’s coronavirus hotspot areas.
Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate Suhas L.Y. said that the status quo shall be conserved between the Delhi-Noida border for now.
The district had locked its perimeter with Delhi in April after many novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Gautam Budh Nagar were establish to have links with Delhi.
The district administration is only authorizing the movement of those implicated in essential services and those who had administration-issued licenses.
Heavy traffic was noted on Delhi-Noida borders on Monday, and Delhi Traffic Police had brought out a warning for commuters inquiring them to abstain from using DND or Kalindi Kunj to enter Noida without an e-pass handed out by Noida DM.
Uttar Pradesh govt-issued actions Monday night for Lockdown 4.0 and enabled more financial activities to be begun again.
The economic actions authorized are largely in line with the Ministry of Home Affairs’ suggestion for the fourth phase of the countrywide lockdown expansion.
Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state, has over 4,200 COVID-19 cases.
To avoid the stretch of covid-19 in India, the Union government on Sunday declared an extension lockdown till 31 May.
There were 56,316 active coronavirus victims in the country, till Monday, according to the ministry of health and family welfare. Nearly 30% of total COVID-19 patients, 36,824 people, were regained so far.
