Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies has proud not only Delhi University but India too. Five students of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies were declared winners at Global Case Competition, Harvard University 2020.

The global case competition is an international competition open for all students globally. This competition is organized by the IFSA Network and Harvard GSAS Business club. It brings together the best students of economics and finance throughout the world and offers them opportunities.

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies SSCBS to make India proud by defeating the first position at Global Case Competition, Harvard University 2020. The five students of Delhi University beat more than 140 rival teams of top universities such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT, John Hopkins University, HEC Paris, and London Business School.

An official said that the teams are given three weeks to prepare and submit a solution and the competition is usually held at Harvard University in Cambridge. He further added that this year due to a pandemic situation the competition was organized through video submissions and video conferencing.

On April 26 the results were announced on the official Facebook and LinkedIn handles of the competition. Name of the students of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies who bagged the prize in the competition is as follows:

  • Ojas Jhamb
  • Kunal Vats
  • Raghav Nath
  • Aanand Negi

Pursuing BMS and BBA (FIA) Courses at SSCBS. They were mentored under the guidance of the faculty members Mr. Neeraj Sehrawat and Mr. Amit Kumar.

In a statement by the students of SSCBS, they said it has been a dream come true for them.  Winning this competition has been surreal. This edition was online as compared to the other rounds held at Harvard and they were able to adapt to the new format effectively. They are really happy that this competition happened despite the ongoing pandemic. However, School of Business and Economics, Brazil, and John Hopkins University were declared the first and second runner-up, respectively.

The winners get a cash price of  $10,000. Poonam Verma, Principal of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies said that she is glad that their student is achieving International laurels and bringing positive news, especially during such troubling times. She also said that it was a great opportunity for students to learn and interact with other international students.
