BHU will reopen on February 22nd, 2021 for its final year students. The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) aims to reopen in a hybrid manner i.e., both online and offline. The University will soon upload the time table for the same on its official website. The final year students will be able to access the hostels of BHU from February 17th.
All the preparations required for the reopening of hostels will be completed before February 17th, 2021. The sanitization and maintenance work will be done by then. A meeting chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of the University was held on February 5. The decision to start the offline teaching for the final year students was taken in that meeting.
The students are required to submit a no-objection certificate and will have to adhere to the guidelines of COVID-19 set by the government. The format of the same will be uploaded on BHU’s official website.
Keeping in mind the COVID-19 standards, the capacity of the library of the university has been increased. The university will also reopen stores and canteen on the campus. In November 2020, the university called its Ph.D. students of science streams for all the research work.
The self-declaration signed by the students says that they will follow the COVID 19 guidelines after entering the campus. They are asked to maintain 6 feet distance, sign the movement register and carry their ID cards all the time.
