At the end of the first day of fifth cutoff, almost 94% seats have been filled and may be the colleges will not issue an additional sixth cut off list. There are around 50,000 seats for merit based undergraduate programme, from which admissions to 47,000 seats were confirmed on the first day of fifth cutoff list.

Even at colleges like the Daulat Ram College, which had 10 courses out of their available 18 still open for admissions under the fifth list, are not expected to release a sixth one. “Almost all our seats are already filled. In fact, we have had some over-admission by dropping the cutoffs by just a mark or two,” said Savita Roy, the principal. Ramjas College still had seats available for Economics (Hons) and BAProgramme.According to Ramjas Principle PC Tulsian, The remaining seats are also expected to be filled by the end of the fifth cycle. The admissions under fifth cut off is extended to 22 July.
