Fee payment will reopen for all the students who faced issues previously. DU admission branch press released a notice on 22nd October 2020. The admission branch was constantly receiving grievances against fee payment. Admissions get approved by the respective college principals, but the fee payment fails in several cases. Hence, the admission branch reopened the fee payment portal.

DU admissions for the academic year 2020-21 started in full swing via an online/virtual mode. However, this is the first time that the varsity adopted an entirely new online mode. Hence, problems and errors are likely to take place. Aspiring students are guided to make fee payments to complete the admission process and secure seats in a particular college.

What is the problem in fee payment?

Delhi University(DU) admission branch established a new system of grievance forms to help students. Hence, aspiring candidates can directly report queries related to admissions and seek help from the varsity’s faculty. The form makes the students eligible to explain their problems and hence, make the admission procedures convenient.

However, the most number of problems reported were relating to Fee payment. Several students reported a problem with Failed UPI Payment. Hence, the aspiring students were unable to secure seats even after completing the admission procedure well. Their applications are approved by the respective college principals but the fee payment failed. Hence, aspiring candidates are worried about this issue.

Failed payment has never been an issue in DU admission’s history. However, it is the first time this type of problem has emerged. Before the academic year 2020, physical admissions didn’t give birth to such problems.

HOW TO PAY FEES FOR DU ADMISSION 2020?

Solutions given by the DU admission branch on the fee payment problem:

The fee payment option is opened for such candidates who have genuine grievances regarding this. The genuine cases are examined by the varsity’s colleges after considering the necessary data. Hence, these applicants are sorted and requested to check their dashboard for fee payment. This reopening is only applicable for 1st list payments. DU also sent emails and SMS on the registered number of such students with grievances. Hence, all the candidates who were denied admissions due to failure in UPI payment under the 1st list are given a second chance.

However, the payment has to be made quickly. Only one chance is delivered to these applicants and hence, they need to be cautious. The deadline is for Saturday, 24th October 2020. Payments have to be made before 1 p.m. This is a very good chance for students who were disheartened due to denied admissions. However, no more grievances will be entertained against this issue.
