FATE OF PENDING DU FEST? POSTPONE OR CANCEL?
When talking about the best time for Delhi University scholars, no moments can conquer the blissful eternities of DU fest. The students await ever year to enjoy Delhi University fest. Every college is surrounded by thousands of students in the star night that is usually celebrated on the last day of the fest.
This year where some of the colleges have already enjoyed their fest, most of them which was geared for the same feel bothered as University of Delhi has shut down all its colleges till 14th April 2020, after the imposition of 21 day lockdown by the Prime Minister, thus all the fest which were to be held between this duration has been postponed till further notice. But the pending of fest cannot be termed as an awful idea, because the pandemic novel corona is on its peak nowadays.
The people have been advised to remain in their homes and maintain social distancing. After the imposition of complete lockdown people cannot gather at one place. Thus during this crucial time, it is beneficial for the delay in DU fest.
BENEFITS OF PENDING DU FESTS
The only way to overcome the pandemic coronavirus is social distancing. As we see in DU fests, the gathering consists of thousands of students from different colleges of Delhi and nearby areas. Calling students for DU Fest at this point in time is nothing less than an invitation for deaths. The cases of novel corona are increasing every day and in a country like India, if the condition turns horrible, it will be impossible to bring back the ordinary time. So, it’s far better to cancel down all the fest because the best enjoyment and the blessing is to be alive. Once the condition turns back to normal we can surely enjoy the fest.
The major thing is to fight together with this virus and make our doctors win , who are saving the lives of others selflessly. All we can do is wait for the time when everything will be fixed.
ENJOYMENT IN THIS CRITICAL TIME CAN LEAD TO DISASTROUS BREAKDOWN
Life always comes with a challenge and it is our duty as noble students to bring out a way to fight those challenges and make our land a better place to live.
Imagine if the fest is not postponed and there are gatherings from all over Delhi, there is no lockdown! no curfew! What would be the condition? The number of cases of Covid 19 would have been surely increasing as we see in Italy.
There is a saying, “All that happens, is for something good. So, let’s pray to God and fights back to this pandemic virus by staying in our homes and taking this lockdown seriously. Isolate yourself so we can bring our normal schedule back soon.
