A fake notice is being circulated on social media platforms that DU is reopening on September 30. Thus, the administration confirms that it’s a fake notice. DU used Twitter to deny the fake notice and warn its students. Also, the actual talks on DU reopening are still going on. Hence, no reopening date is confirmed yet.

DU warns students not to believe in any false notice. Hence, the authentic notice will be released only on the official DU portal once confirmed.

Here is what the false notice claimed:

The notification claims that Delhi University is going to begin classes from September 20 for the 2nd and 3rd-year students. Also, it states that to attend physical classes all students need to be vaccinated with the first dose at least. The notice added that the reopening for arts and commerce courses would take some more days. However, the University administration completely denied releasing any office order.

DU’s actual plan on college reopenings:

Delhi University Registrar, Vikas Gupta clarified that they are holding meetings. Thus, they are equally eager to reopen but do not want to take any half-baked decision. Also, the executive council of DU held a meeting on August 31. Another high-level meeting was held today, i.e. September 1.
