UP University and its affiliated colleges are ready to conduct semester exams of the academic session 2019-20 after June 30, 2020.
All the educational institutions are temporarily closed due to the nationwide lockdown. The prime minister of India ordered a nationwide lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. As all the educational institutions are closed, it was difficult to proceed towards the next academic year. Although schools began their academic year by giving online lectures to the students, still the Universities were struggling with the 2019-20 exams of the students. Many universities have promoted first and second-year students on the basis of the previous semester result and internal assessment. Only final year students have to appear for their exams.

DU’s ONLINE MODE OF EXAM

But how is it possible for final year students to appear for classroom examinations? That is why in view of the importance of health and examinations of students, Delhi University has decided to conduct an open book exam through online mode. Final year students of Delhi University will appear for exams in the month of July. But what about other universities? IP University has decided to take a pen and paper test.

UP University and its affiliated colleges will conduct exams for the academic session 2019-20 after June 30. The Chief Secretary of UP Rajendra Kumar Tiwari has ordered to make necessary arrangements to conduct academic exams in higher educational institutions of UP University. He has also ordered to make arrangements for the conduct of the B.Ed. Joint entrance exam 2020. The Chief Secretary has asked about the arrangements from all the vice-chancellor of the state universities, director, district magistrates and district commissioners.

B.Ed. JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM 2020

It is said that the B.Ed. Joint Entrance Exam 2020 will be conducted in the month of July on Sunday. It is further said that no state or private UP University shall conduct any exam on that particular day. The secretary said that proper arrangements should be made by the institution for the conduction of exams. Examination centers should be sanitized properly and alcohol-based sanitizers should be available to all the students appearing in the exam. Sanitizers should be available on all days at the entrance of the examination hall so that students can disinfect their hands before entering the venue. Thermometers should be used to measure the temperature of all the teachers, staff, and students on all days while entering the examination centers. The use of face masks and face cover should also be ensured.

SOCIAL DISTANCING SHOULD BE MAINTAINED

All the norms and protocols of social distancing should also be maintained at the examination hall by the institutions. For B.Ed. entrance exam 2020, the examination centers can also be shifts to some other states as per the need. Till now, all the educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh are closed due to rising cases of COVID-19. In a meeting of the examination committee, all the officials convened about all the possible changes that can be made in question papers to facilitate the evaluation of answer sheets.
