Due to COVID-19, all the schools and colleges across the nation were shut down temporarily. The education minister of various states are deciding to reopen schools because cases are under control in the present situation.
So, the government of India has thought to reopen schools for at least senior students. The Ministry of Home Affairs, MHA has issued certain guidelines about reopening of schools for senior students. On the other hand, states and union territories have the authority to make decisions regarding resuming schools in a graded manner.
MHA said that schools will reopen after discussing with the respective school management. After reviewing the situation, MHA said that online distancing should be regulated in almost all the schools.
DECISION OF THE EDUCATION MINISTER OF BIHAR
In Bihar, the administration will reopen schools from January 4. Schools will reopen for senior students, I.e. for class 9 to 12th students. After reviewing the situation and management for 15 days, schools can also reopen for junior classes.

EDUCATION MINISTER WILL REOPEN SCHOOLS FROM 4TH JANUARY
Schools in Pondicherry will also reopen from January 4. But, classes will resume in a half-day manner, I.e. from 10 am to 1 pm. From 18th January, schools will resume in a full-day manner. According to the education minister, all the educational institutions will follow safety norms.
DECISION OF EDUCATION MINISTER OF KARNATAKA, ASSAM AND PUNE
In Karnataka, class 10th and 11th students can go to school from 1st January. The education minister of Karnataka said that However, students have to submit the written consent of their parents. Vidyagama classes for classes 6 to 9 will begin from 1st January. In the same manner, schools in Assam will begin from 1st January. The municipal corporation of Pune will resume physical classes from January 4. Pune
Municipal Corporation issued an order and said that for classes 9th to 12th, schools will reopen from January 4. However, everybody has to follow the COVID 19 SOPs. Similarly, schools in other states will also resume in January.
