Dyal Singh’s Principal was condemned to plagiarism. Four DU teachers from different Delhi University’s college raised voice. These are Harish Khanna, Shashi Shekhar Singh, Ashwani Kumar, and Shivangi Singh. All these teachers belong to Samajwadi Sikshak Manch.
According to the teachers, he caught plagiarizing. Due to the article, he wrote was not fresh. The article published one year ago in a magazine.
The teachers want an explanation over this plagiarism. Dyal Singh’s principal should come forward and sort this.
Also, the four teachers wrote a letter to DU VC, complaining about plagiarism. In addition to this, they also put an application to Dyal Singh College governing body chairman, Director South Campus and Dean of Colleges. They requested an inquiry over Dyal Singh’s principal.
While Sharma did not pick up the calls or responded to the texts, The dean of the Colleges Balram Pani asserted that they will have a meeting on Monday. The meeting will serve the decision over the inquiry committees.
He also said that it’s not an only case. They received complaints regarding plagiarism against others as well. He further ensured to look into the matter seriously. Presently, DU VC is unwell. His approval is significant to take further steps.
In the letter, teachers claimed that Sharma has plagiarised 40% of a two page long published article. The article was published in the “Kurukshetra” magazine (Jan 2019) issue. This percentage copied from an article written by journalist KG Suresh (former Director-General, IIMC) in a 2015 edition of Employment News, and 22 percent from other sources.

Hence, Sharma plagiarized 62% of the total article, they alleged.
