Relaxation in Submission of Academic Fees
The Delhi University Students’ Union has demanded relaxation and concession in the submission of fees being charged. DUSU in its first measure has asked for providing relaxation in the academic fee for the year 2020-21.
Exemption of Extra Charges
The student union has called upon the University to exempt all other extra charges from the academic fees. The extra charges including electricity, rent, water, sports, hostel charges should be exempted from the academic fees for the year 2020-21.
Payment of Fees in Installments
The letter demands to call off the payment of the entire fee in one installment. The third measure suggests that an option should be provided to the students to pay their fees in the installments.
Variable Academic Fee Structure
The fourth measure of the letter states that a variable fee structure should be present for the same course in a variety of colleges.
Structure of Academic Fees
The letter suggests that there are so many people or families of students who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown. It is next to impossible for all these families to submit the fees, hence the University of Delhi must reconsider the structure of the fees.
The Students Union of Delhi has requested Delhi University to consider the issues of the students and resolve them thoroughly. Through the letter, the DUSU has requested Delhi University to provide relaxation in the academic fees of the students.
