Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has written to DU Vice Chancellor, Prof Yogesh Singh, requesting their construction as soon as feasible. The Delhi Government has put forward worries over the pause in the building of fully-functional governing bodies for 28 Delhi Govt Colleges.

The Deputy CM described concerns that interviews for hiring professors were taking place without full-fledged governing bodies. Subverting the policy of absorption of ad-hoc as well as temporary teachers. It could instruct a problem in the administration as well as management of these colleges.

Manish Sisodia has emphasized that the experience of thousands of ad-hoc. There is need for temporary teachers to retain the academic severity and quality of the university. Any additional uncertainties could hinder the capacity of the college to make key judgments.

Sisodia expressed, “Given the seriousness of the issue, the building of governing bodies demands to start as soon as possible. I appeal to DU to expedite the shaping of fully-functional governing bodies at all 28 Delhi Government-funded colleges.”

On 28 January, the university dispatched the nominations for the governing bodies of 28 Delhi Govt-funded colleges. It was not proposed or examined in the current Executive Council conference held on February 3 in the year 2023.

Noting the waits, the Deputy CM had written to the DU Vice Chancellor, on 16th February in the year 2023 as well. He insisted for endless posts till governing bodies are constructed.

The Deputy CM had highlighted his worries, declaring that financial decisions taken for these colleges. It builds financial importance for GNCTD as well. He had requested the university to not take any financial conclusion without the acceptance of a full-fledged governing body.

Manish Sisodia emphasized that full-fledged governing bodies in these 28 Delhi Govt Colleges are the necessity of the hour. It is because around seventy percent of temporary educators have been briefed to be expelled in the ongoing interviews across the colleges.

The delay in constructing the governing bodies has resulted in Swami Shraddhanand College going forward with interviews without full-fledged governing bodies. He also pointed out that any further delays may instruct to a severe situation in the administration and management of these colleges.

Sisodia has also pleaded that no interviews take place in these 28 colleges. This is because without the construction of full Governing Bodies. The purpose of the Government of NCT of Delhi is to build mechanisms whereby the preference is given to the absorption of living ad-hoc teachers.
