DU VC Prof, PC Joshi has urged faculty members, students, and non-teaching staff to get vaccinated after getting his dose of COVID- 19 vaccine. In a video message, Joshi said that India will defeat COVID-19 together while he also stated that he did not have any fever or any other side effect post his vaccination.

Via the video message, Joshi informed that he got the Covaxin vaccine. Bharat Biotech has developed the Covaxin vaccine indigenously. The DU VC also asked the people to follow COVID-friendly behavior including wearing masks, washing hands, and maintaining social distance while he asked people to get vaccinated.

The University of Delhi had announced to reopen gradually after being closed since mid-March last year. Delhi University had allowed final-year students who need access to laboratories and have practical classes to return to campus in an official statement released in February. As per the university guidelines, access to common facilities was to remain shut. Theory classes were to continue online for students who opt to return to campuses.

Delhi University is meanwhile holding open-book examinations online for all the undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. In order to appear for the exams, the students will have the option to appear from their preferred location. Nearly 2.5 lakh students are expected to appear for these exams, as per reports, which are scheduled to begin from March 15. Last year too, DU had conducted exams online along with conducting its classes digitally.
