DU UG Allocation List 2 Released: Check Seat Upgrades and Vacancies
DU UG allocation list 2 was released today. Over 43,000 students applied for upgrades. Check seat availability, admission updates, and important deadlines here.
Delhi University has released the DU UG allocation list 2 today at 5 PM. This is part of its ongoing undergraduate admission process under CSAS-UG for the 2025-26 session. The second round includes many internal changes as thousands of students requested seat upgrades.
Over 43,000 candidates who confirmed their admission in the first round had opted for upgrades. These students now wait for a better college or program based on merit and available seats. The DU UG allocation list 2 considers these upgrade requests along with newly vacant seats.
Earlier, the university allotted 93,166 seats across 69 colleges and 79 undergraduate programmes. However, only 62,565 students confirmed their seats after the first list. Out of these, 16,126 students froze their seats, meaning they chose not to change. But a large group of 43,741 students preferred to upgrade.
These upgrade preferences are reflected in the DU UG allocation list 2. Students may now see new colleges or programmes allocated to them based on their CUET-UG scores and category. The university follows several reservation categories, including Unreserved, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PwBD, Kashmiri Migrants, Sikh Minority, Single Girl Child, and Orphan.
The DU UG allocation list 2 also allows students to view vacant seats before making changes. The upgrade and reordering window remains open until 4:59 PM on July 25. Students should log into the DU admission portal to check the latest updates and confirm changes, if any.
The DU UG allocation list 2 plays a key role in reshuffling seats. Many students were earlier not able to get their first preference. This list gives them a second chance. Based on new vacancies and the merit list, students may now get admission to their preferred college or course.
It is important to note that performance-based courses such as Hindustani Music, Karnataka Music, Percussion Music, Physical Education, and Fine Arts will not be part of the second round. Their seat allotments will take place in the third round. Students applying to these should regularly check their specific college websites for trial dates and performance schedules.
The DU UG allocation list 2 helps balance the overall admission cycle. It allows colleges to fill seats that remained vacant after the first round. It also helps students get fair chances based on their CUET-UG scores and rank. Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System continues to ensure a transparent and smooth admission process.
The academic session for first-year students will begin on August 1. All candidates must ensure they complete formalities on time after the DU UG allocation list 2 is released. Students who miss deadlines may lose their seats.
The DU UG allocation list 2 will bring relief to thousands of students waiting for better seats. With a proper system and clear timelines, DU has made this centralised process efficient and student-friendly.
