Delhi University (DU) is going to set up a new college. This college will be built in Bhatti Kalan, Fatehpur Beri, Mehrauli, New Delhi. Dharmendra Pradhan, Education Minister will lay the foundation stone for the new college of University of Delhi.
The university has said in this regard that the name of the new college is yet to be finalized. According to the university, this college is being opened to meet the needs and requirements of the students living in the vicinity of Fatehpur Beri village.
Early, Delhi University had announced that the foundation stone laying ceremony would be conducted on August 8. However, the ceremony was later postponed. For which no new date has been announced yet.

DU NEW COLLEGE: FACILITATION CENTER WILL ALSO BE BUILT
Let us tell you that a facilitation center will also be assembled at the proposed construction site. Delhi University has said that the facilitation center will allow university students living in and around Bhatti Kalan to finalize various administrative procedures, encompassing admission and exam, without having to travel long distances.
The new DU college will be built on a land of 40 bighas recommended by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and supported by MP Ramesh Bidhuri.
The university said that the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor PC Joshi will attend the foundation stone laying ceremony. College Dean Professor Balram Pani, Professor Suman Kundu, Director South Campus, Dr. Vikas Gupta, Registrar, and other officers and staff of the University will also be present at the function.
