ACADEMIC COLLABORATION

The University of Delhi (DU) will soon establish a dedicated new campus for teaching and promoting research work in the field of plant sciences at Shahbad Dairy in the Rohini area in the national capital. The university of Delhi informed that the new campus will concentrate on teaching and researching different branches of plant sciences including horticulture, agriculture, and plant genetics.

A team of DU faculty is headed by its acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. PC Joshi. The team examined the area of the new research center. University mentioned that shortly, there will be a facility center to help the students in helping various services including getting certificates at Shahbad Dairy.

Currently, Delhi University does not have courses in agriculture or forestry. The recommended research center at Shahbad Dairy is likely to be developed on 40 acres of land. This land is allotted to the University of Delhi by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).

Reportedly, Delhi University is also scheduling to open a college in Roshanpura near Najafgarh catering to students from rural areas.

Meanwhile, the DU had started the admission process for foreign students for UG and PG courses. The University invites online applications at the official website of Foreign Students’ Registry (FSR) fsr2021.du.ac.in.

The application process was begun on April 8 for the academic session 2021-2022. The last date to submit an online application for MBA and Ph.D. in the Faculty of Management is April 30. The last date to submit the online form for UG and PG programs is May 31 and June 29.
