The Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) has written a letter to the DU Vice-Chancellor. It aims to request a hybrid mode of exams for students of even semester. The Delhi University students also boycotted in front of the VC office urging open book exams (obe).

We demand a choice for a hybrid mode of examinations for even semester students who have attended more than half of their semester classes in online mode. #DUSU #obe #studentprotest,” DUSU secretary Ashish

Lamba also tweeted that We demand an option for a hybrid mode of examinations for even semester students. Especially who have attended more than half of their semester classes in online mode.

So keeping all the troubles encountered by the students in mind, I kindly request you to look into this matter and provide a blended or hybrid mode of examination for the students of even semester.

As odd semesters students have given already. All the students should have an option to appear in the examination either remotely or physically,” said the letter from DUSU.

Referring to the issues of students’, DUSU secretary Ashish Lamba said in the letter that he has been receiving complaints. These complaints are from a large number of students of even semester whose exams have been planned in May, June in the year 2022. Because they are facing a lot of pressure since a major part of their semesters were in online mode.

Students have only around 20-25 lectures in offline mode. Some of their offline classes are skipped because of the short time given to shift to hostels, he added.
