Delhi University(DU) students trends #REOPENDU as University is closed and schools are reopening from Monday. Students have constantly urged the reopening of the University several times. Students have demanded offline academic activities. For more than 1.5 years University is closed for students. However, DU VC Yogesh Singh has assured that University will decide on reopening after Diwali.
Recently, the All India Students’ Association (AISA) sat on a hunger strike for five days demanding DU reopening. Police have detained the 28 students from the protest. They got support from the students but none of the University officials have come to talk with them. Students have raised questions that why the administration is not willing to reopen DU. The social media trend was just after the reopening of schools in Delhi for all classes.
ABVP on Friday protested outside the executive committee meeting venue on the reopening of the campuses. ABVP has also submitted the memorandum to colleges principals to demand to reopen University.

As the schools in the capital will reopen from Monday for all classes. Delhi government has issued guidelines for the reopening of schools in the capital. But, the government has not taken any notice of colleges reopening. Many think that from required precautions and with vaccinated students campuses can reopen now.

Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has issued guidelines for educational institutes reopening. The government had somewhere sidelined the issue of University reopening to some extent. However, the DU administration also lacked efforts for reopening. The DU official said that they will decide on the further academic work-frame after Diwali. If campuses reopen then also it will take a long to have full-fledged offline classes for all DU students.
