Many DU students could not complete their degrees for some reason or the other. So, the varsity is now giving them, this opportunity to brief their reasons and complete their degree.

On 28th January, the Executive council held their meeting and passed this proposal. The meeting was held for the centenary celebrations of the university.

WHEN DELHI UNIVERSITY CENTENARY YEAR WOULD BEGIN?

The centenary year of Delhi University will begin from 1st May. So, the varsity has planned many other things for the whole year till May 2023.

DU STUDENTS CAN COMPLETE THEIR DEGREES IN THE CENTENARY YEAR

The vice-chancellor of Delhi University said that the executive council has passed this proposal. The opportunity of letting DU students complete their degree is a centenary chance according to them. So, DU students who could not complete their degrees can now give their exams and earn a degree.

DU STUDENTS HAVE TO COMPLETE A DIFFERENT REGISTRATION PROCESS

From 1st May 2022 to 1st March 2023, students will get two chances. Students can either give their exams in September and October or in March. Students have to undergo a different registration process and appear for their two or three exams that are left.

JNU OFFLINE CLASSES TO START FROM MONDAY

EXAMS WOULD BE HELD IN SEMESTER MODE

On the other hand, the Dean of Examination has to work out with the modalities of this initiative. The executive council also said that earlier the varsity did not have a semester system. So, now they will hold the exams in semester mode only.

Moreover, the syllabus has also changed now. So, the semester system can be valid for the alumni of 4 to 5 years only.

MANY DU STUDENTS CAN NOT COMPLETE THEIR LEFT DEGREES

The DU Vice-Chancellor said that DU students who left the course in the first year can not appear for the exams of two years. They would be given only one chance to appear for a couple of papers. To celebrate the centenary year, Delhi University has allocated Rs. 10 crores.
